Passages of Night People, like Mark Ronson's music production, is sticky—it hooked me. There is an afterglow to his storytelling that clearly left in my mind's eye an easily identifiable residue, a sense, a feel for the spaces, places, and events he shares as he narrates how his music world opened and expanded through his early days DJ'ing in and around NYC. I was not a 90's DJ, nor anywhere near his circle of prominent friends and celebrities, but his narration flows without heirs, in an empathic way that is oddly and satisfyingly relatable. It is a positive experience. His candor and directness makes the audiobook engaging, conversational, and throughly entertaining.
