John McGlaughlin on guitar; Wayne Shorter’s sax, the loping groove of the drums, the synth/keys, and the bass line—all of it works together for such a vibe, such perfection. Plus, Miles’ counting in to start the track/recording off (turn the volume up a bit at the very, VERY beginning to hear him direct the start and the groove—subtle coolness from the get-go.
